I have done it with half-inch (I think) wooden dowels, on a Cummins 'C' series, but it sounds like the same procedure. Make sure they are new dowels and go in tightly or you'll be dropping the pan. A friend of mine says he has had good luck with coat hangers b... Login to read more.
