I'd run SAE 50 mineral oil in the trans in your climate. The yoke nuts are OFTEN 1 13/16" and might take some effort to get them off. 1" impact, probably. Use a new nut, not the old one.

The rears would be fine on 80W90 gear oil API GL5.
