Agreed. If the clutch brake is where it should be, you can run the ring clockwise and get your freeplay. If, OTOH, there's no brake, you'll need to go CW a bit more, then pick up a bit on the linkage to get the brake back. If the brake's too high to begin with... Login to read more.
