This NPR has a 16 pin OBD2 DLC, but some things I read said only the gassers were OBD2 compliant in 2001. I have tried two Heavy Duty OBD2 scanners that listed the Isuzu as compatible, but no communication. I read Diesel NPR not OBD2 compatible until 2004. Does anyone know of an aftermarket scanner that will use the 16 pin connector but talk to an OBD1 Isuzu NPR? Or do you know for sure a 2001 NPR diesel is supposed to be OBD2 compatible and I need to look or a wiring issue? This is the only medium duty I need to work on for a friend. Aviation fuel truck that is not easily moved off property.
