Check exhaust manifold gasket closely. Use smoke if you have it. Or water. If there is a leak the gasket can act like a reed in a clarinet. Warms up, metal expands and leak seals off or changes enough to change the sound. Had a 6.7L Cummins, about the same yea... Login to read more.
