James, I have seen EGR's do that also. Should not affect compression. Between here and the "other sight" I am thinking ITV. BTW if yours is an EPA 2010 (dual turbo, low mount EGR cooler) take an oil sample if you don't have one. Specifically look at aluminum ... Login to read more.
