Every caliper has a seal groove with a relief cut...about 4 degrees, machined into the dry side of the groove. When no pressure exists, the seal is relaxed and this area is a dry void. When the brakes are applied, the piston doesn’t move through the seal, but ... Login to read more. ![]()
