You need the GM 8.1 to really compare to that 7.3 diesel. I know a guy who sold a Dodge V10 when he found a nice 8.L to pull his horse trailer. Now, if you want to compare a Duramax to the 7.3, you will find the Duramax will far outrun the 7.3.
