Andy, when my car reached 5 years of age, I replaced it with another Motorcraft from the dealer. The reason being that a 5 year old battery is more likely to fail more then a 3 year old battery. Sure some batteries last 7 or 8 years just as some fail in 3 or 4... Login to read more.
