You are kee-recht. In 1989 I used the Kondratief cycle to purchase a really sweet 88 Porsche 911 3.2L Carerra for $18,000.00 less that the stock broker "yuppie" had in it. Only 1100 miles on the clock and less than 6 months old. :)
