it depend what brand . here in san diego , on a older mb , like 70 s 80 s early 90 s , a dealer trans installed is $ 7500 !!!!!!! , there is a small trans shop that will fix for $ 1800 , and do a good job at it .on a $ 1000 car it makes almost sens... Login to read more.
