I saw a similar trick on a BMW K100RS . I guess the guy thought it was like a Briggs/Stratton mower engine .

It would fill up a 30x25 shop with smoke in 30 seconds and make ALL kinds of noises. I pulled the fill cap and the oil was 1/2'' below the fill cap. Login to read more.
