I do the same things with the dipstick and the drain plug wrench. Another self-safety device I have is to NEVER put ALL the lug nuts on, until/unless I fully tighten them. IOW if I am hanging big heavy wheels they each get one or two lug nuts, not all, before ... Login to read more.
