We do lots of Subaru fluid services too. When we get em all bound up, we do One fluid change, then 1 tech gets in the car, starts it, puts parking brake on hard, and puts it in gear. He then holds it at about 1500 rpm. The other tech stands out front under the good and installs/removes the fwd fuse. A lot of "bang bang bang" ensues as we enable/disable the awd. This is good. It means we're working fluid back into the clutches for the coupler. When we're done with this part, we put it up and change the fluid again, and change the spin on filter as well (if applicable). We then test drive. Usually fixed it. Oh, and we only use genuine Subaru ATF hp.
