Good points. Ours is an imperfect world with lots of exceptions. I'm thinking of the VW 1.8 turbo timing belts, many of which did not make the 105,000 interval before trashing the engine. The VW (and others) lifetime transmission fluid doesn't seem to be work... Login to read more.
