I agree, recheck the drainplug unbeknownst to to both techs and customer. I wouldn't paint it ( paint will make them suspicious), rather torque it to spec, at another friendly shop, maybe with a digital picture (timestamped and all) Then ship it, When it retur... Login to read more.
