Hi Scott. Yeah, I tried all that stuff with only temporary results. As to the weight, it was welded on at the top center of the side away from the drum. I just used a 3/8" X 1" X 2" piece of scrap metal. AFAIK, it's to absorb or damper resonance. I re... Login to read more.
