I use Locktite 567 Master Pipe Sealant on all drain plugs. It sets like chewing gum and even if a drain plug is finger tight it WILL NOT vibrate loose. Comes apart easy with a wrench and you will never have a comeback for a leak. It stays bone dry forever.
