All modular motors, ie 4.6, 5.4 and 6.8 from 1991 to 2002 had only 4 threads per spark plug hole. They had a nasty tendency to blow out the plugs if they weren't torqued correctly. This even happened on factory plugs at low mileage on 5.4 truck engines.
