I'm no transmission ex-spurt but one thing is that diffs used to use 80w90 oil and now in FWD's it's Dexron or Mercon5. BIG difference in lubrication when the going gets hot. I beat the crap out of my old RWD car and the worst I ever did was wear out an axle b... Login to read more.
