Even with 4 bolts the "old style" cover can saw through the oil pan. I have performed TSB 03-21-7 on quite a few vehicles over the years. Johnny may have been trying to gain clearance on that corner in a feeble repair attempt rather than put on the new cover. ... Login to read more.
