if you run PVC, use Sch. 80, not 40. 40 is standard DWV (drain, waste, and vent) pipe. its thinner than 80.

the owner of the building i am currently in ran sch. 80 a year ago, and aside from a couple of poorly done joints, there is no problems at all.
