You must have a 6-cylinder one or an earlier one because the 12 cylinder versions are spot-on originals IIRC.

I feel your pain. However, I really haven't seen nor heard of this and I've used those 'crappy' evaps in various stuff. I would think they'd be MORE... Login to read more.
