| 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XL 4.0L sheild VIN: 1FMZU77E02 Everybody's right, this does take a shield. Got a used shield from junk yard and installed. Sounds like new with the shield on and all the trany bolts in. Apparently the shield does position starter right distance from crank and flywheel. Thanks again. |

| 2004 Ford F-150 FX4 5.4L Poor Idle Quality, Stall VIN: 1FTPW14534 Well, this truck SURE gave us an education on Ford's Tritons!!! Customer has declined repairs at this point. What we DO know is that the timing chains are loose. Rechecking the oil pressure still showed good at almost 30 psi hot idle after driving 10 miles. T... Trouble codes: P0113 (IAT circuit high input), P0102 (MAF sensor circuit low), P0104 (MAF circuit intermittent), P0171 (Bank 1 too lean). |
