Installed new J519 central electrics module, and found trailer wiring not seen before chaffed in one spot grounding the right rear turn signal black/green wire. Repaired harness and cleared codes. All is well. Thanks.

I should have mentioned that it had an aftermarket radio, which I had unplugged. Sorry guys. Anyways, the car is fixed. One of the door modules wasn't coded correctly. Once that was fixed, the parasitic draw went away.

So after replacing the knock sensors which come as a pair and verifying the wiring is ok from the sensors to the DME we decided to have the software updated in the DME. The update worked but still had the same problem. We sent the DME out for a rebuild. Rei... Trouble codes: 210 (knock sensor 1), 211 (knock sensor 2), 222 (knock control system test pulse), P1589 (control module self test bank 1), P1386 (unknown).

This is a half-fixed.I replaced the MAF under parts warranty and iat now reads 30C which is comparable to the other 4.2 XJ's that I work on.Also intermittent hard starting issue is gone as well as all of the misfire codes.I still have the P0101 and the P0171 c...
