I would like to thank everyone for the help. Checked out the ICM and sure as snot it was bad. Replaced that and went ahead and installed new coils for peace of mind. Runs like a champ. Trouble codes: P0336 (crank position sensor performance), P0341 (cam position sensor performance).

While testing for the intermittent short, the faulty circuit went open. It was the line from the fuse to the TCM. I wired around it and put it back in service. No problems since. Thanks, Mark
