| 2005 BMW X3 3.0i 3.0L MIL Lamp on VIN: WBXPA93495 THIS CAR DROVE US CRAZY, BUT ENENTUALLY WE DETECTED A SMALL VACUUM LEAK AT THE SIDE OF THE INTAKE MANIFOLD WHERE A VALVE BOLTS IN. WE REMOVED THE VALVE, RAN A BIT OF SEALENT ON THE OLD SEAL. AND NOW THE CAR IS HAPPY AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS OUT. | 1996 Volkswagen Golf GTI 2.0L No Start VIN: H6TM132101 Looks like we had a bad ignition switch. Key on engine off there was 12 volts to the coil and ecm, cranking dropped the voltage to 4 volts- hence the lack of 12 volts at the crank sensor.Appreciate the tests guys! |

| 1987 Volvo 740 GLE 2.3L Poor Idle Quality Thanks to all who replied.I went over all your post carefully and benefited from your input.Noticed that although original problem was resolved,vehicle stumbled on startup when cold.Removing the idle air control and cleaning resolved.Thanks again Francis. |
