2004 Audi A8 4.2L No Start
car supposoly quit while moving to clean snow.we replaced
the timing belt and pulleys and sparkplugs. car cranks over
normally but does not start checked engine fuses ok can
only get global obd2 on modis only 2codes p2401 and p0498 i
hear the fuel pump working... Trouble codes: p2401 (emiss detection pump control circut low), p0498 (emiss vent valve control circut low). |

We shorted the battery cables to discharge anything unwanted in the computer,did basic setting with the VAG-COM, drove the car 50 or so miles to so to try and make the vehicle pass readiness, but it did not happen. As suggested by the replies, the rear window wiper & rear door locks were also inop, indicating a problem with the R.E.M. module. Removing the #1 fuse in the rear cargo fuse compartment temporarily "woke up" the module, and the fuel guage function was restore... |
