It is a code that is set when the ECU detects a problem with the CURRENT going through the actuator circut. Careful examination of the scem... The vss signal was weakened just enough that the ecu would not recognize it. The odd part was that the comfort module did recognize the signal and had a speed reading in the data block. By u... | 2001 Volkswagen Passat GLX 2.8L MIL Lamp on VIN: WVWWH63B21 thanks for all the replies. several said cam timing was out ( either belt or chain) the chain was aligned as per alldata with 16 roller link to marks, the crank and cam had alignment locks installed. so i replaced the timing belt again ( another vw/audi belt).... Trouble codes: P1522 (camshaft adjustment bank 2 malf. 17930), P0300 (random multiple misfire 16684), P0304 (cyl 4 misfire 16688), P0305 (cyl 5 misfire 16689), P0306 (cyl 6 misfire 16690). |
