| 1998 Volkswagen Jetta GLX 2.8L Poor Idle Quality, Hesitation, Surge, Cuts out, Stall, MIL Lamp on VIN: 3VWTD31H1W Thanks for all your input. I was able to reset the throttle body without a scan tool. Simply run engine until it reaches operating temp., then unplug ECU for five min., start, allow idle to stablize and drive car at cruise speed for a few miles. Car runs great... Trouble codes: P1580 (Throttle actuator B1 malfuncution), P0103 (mass air flow circuit high). |
