First thank you for allowing me to join your forum. I have
just recently retired from the US Army as a Senior
Maintenance Warrant Officer of 27 years. I am curious if an
idea I have may be a possible fit and if so how you could
possibly see it implemented.
I have come to meet some very reputable repair shops, owners
and guys out in the shops since getting to know my way
around home again after returning from deployments. In fact
I have taken a few of my friends and families cars in for
repair during my free time I now have.
Is there a market for a guy like me who knows his way around
a vehicle pretty well? Sure I know its not a tank, but
nonetheless I would like to offer my services as an outside
sales for service, tires or both.
So given a scenario where I over hear the public talking
about a needed repair, a breakdown, maintenance or tires how
can I be a fit between the customer and the shop?
How do you see the billing? The communication? My
compensation?
Im just looking for something to do…
Thanks! Jim
