The boss has several rules concerning crew behavior , especially since we have a mixed crew , and equipment operators , both young men, and young women , and often the guys forget they are working with a young woman , who is often within earshot of what we are doing , while on site , or in the shop . They have developed their own way of dealing with this . I do remember , when I lived in the US , there was a guy who could paraphrase this kind of frustration , and never swear once , and the women never caught on to what he was saying . One of the phrases he used often , I never forgot , when he got really upset , was " beady - eyed sneakerfootin' peapicker " - He never got corrected , either - They couldn't figure out what he was saying -
