Multi Point Inspection Process and Procedure
Posted to Shop Management Forum on 2/7/2013 31 Replies

Looking for some Ideas on how to do Multi point inspections on the vehicles we service. Does every car get one? Even a vehicle with a tire repair? When is to much and when is not enough? Don't want to get a reputation that we are a shop that tries to sell you everything under the sun every visit. We use RO writer and have good history for all our Customers. Whats the procedure for waiting customers? If the ticket is just an oil change and the customer is waiting do I have the lube tech pull the wheel to check all brakes etc? This can be time consuming but don't want to miss a safety issue or lose any up sells. Just looking for a healthy balance. Any ideas would be appreciated.
