1998 Dodge Durango TCC sticking
This is my wife's so I need to get it figures out. Last week the trans cooler sprang a leak so we had cross contamination between the cooling system and trans. I replace the radiator, ran multiple flushed on the cooling system, ran 2 cases of fluid thru the trans, then dropped the pan and did a filter change. Everything seemed fine for a couple day but now the converter locks and won't unlock unless you manual down shift to 2nd or pop it into neutral and back to drive. Watching the scanner while driving, the scanner shows the command for the tcc to unlock but doesn't. Once it engaged when putting in drive from park but every other time it has happened it was after normal up shift. I hate the throw a solenoid in if it needs a trans. but I would also hate put a trans in to find out it is a ecm. Has anybody ever experience this? It seem to me if it is a solenoid sticking manual down shift would not unlock it. But then again I am no trans man. Thanks
