thanks to all that replied. I electrical like tps and tcc solenoid and everything checked okay. customer has not returned to go any farther,was planning on replacing trans. Thanks again for your help

The shop told me wrong ntake gaskets were used. This engine did not use the plastic push rod guides that are part of the gasket.Apparently the push rods were being pushed out of alignment with the rocker arms. Correct intake gasket corrected the noise. Thanks ...

Thanks to all that replied. It turned out that the ECT sensor was out of range at idle and the vehicle was dumping fuel in an attemp to heat it up faster. Replaced the sensor and it flew through the e-test no problem. Thanks again everyone.
