1995 Chevrolet Blazer 4.3L Convertor Lock Up in Reverse

this blazer has a strange problem sometimes intermittant.

when u put this vehicle in reverse it dies like the torque convertor is locking up the iac tries to compensate for it but can not. we disconnected the mlp and neutral safety and it still does it. i hoo...
