This alt. is kicking my butt. It will charge until it gets hot.(about 200 deg) l have 5V on the red wire but it charges 11.8-12.1 volts when hot. It will charge 13.0 when cold. The large wire that goes to the batt. also gets warm. Cked this wire at the starter...
