I've replaced 5 alternators in about 5 months. 1st one,stator caught fire, 2nd failure, 3rd reman from Ford failed after 2 days, 4th rear bearing failure, 5th failure. I've followed the diagnostic procedure in Ford tech manual and found no problems with wiring...
