1993 Mercury Cougar XR-7 3.8L Poor Idle Quality
Customer dropped off car with fast idle, 4000 to 5000 RPM.
We tested for a vacuum leak around intake, injectors, and
vacuum hoses. Found no idle change. Next I removed the IAC
and found it to be stuck slightly open. After replacing the
IAC the car ran great.
