1987 Honda Civic 1.5L Pinging
Engine pinged badly cold and hot checked ignition timing found it to be 17 degrees, checked valve timing-ok. Further inspection revealed a bad inner diaphragm in the vacuum advance. I replaced the advance unit with a Honda part but no help for pinging when...
