Good point Peter, the thing I liked about R-12 and mineral oil is, you could see oil where ever a leak was. If a hose was leaking you could wipe it with your finger and feel oil. If a shaft seal was leaking there was usually oil under the hood (Bonnet). Same w... Login to read more.
