I used to keep a mini can of flat black quick-dry spray paint with my a/c stuff; the shiny aluminum stuff will confuse many IR temp guns. The flat-black paint closely approximated the emissivity that the 'gun' was calibrated to, so temps were pretty accurate. ... Login to read more.
