I did a little internet searching. Looks like CO2 is more soluble in rubber compounds than N2 or air. The CO2 dissolves into the rubber, and it diffuses out into the atmosphere. So in this case the size isn't the main factor, it's the chemical interaction. Got... Login to read more.
