Put me down for "B". I've been pulling deep vacuums for over 46 years. I've never seen a shaft seal collapse. And even if it did, would that be a bad thing? Any seal that couldn't stand up to almost 30 inches of vacuum would never stand up to 300 plus pounds ... Login to read more.
