Hi Patrick. On things like that, I just use my Power Probe to check them. If it pops the 3 amp breaker in it, then it's a good bet it'll blow the fuse. Not always, but usually. Things like fans can be tested using a scanner. If you don't have a PP, get one. I'... Login to read more.
