i was always under the impression that the acid formed was decide by the refrigerant. R12 -hydrochloric acid. R134 - fluoric acid. or hydrofluoric acid??. either way i thought the acid formation was due to moisture mixing with chlorine or fluorine etc. depend... Login to read more.
