hey Ernest, Ford's stated clutch coil draw is 4.4-4.7amps. at 2.5 i would say the field is to weak to hold the plate engaged. low current is caused by low available volts, or high resistance. i would check the available voltage with a load on the circuit, then... Login to read more.
