Hi Robert -- Back seat valves are still used in Bus A/C systems, bus A/C can average 20 or 30 lbs of R22 or R134. Plus my 85 Ford F250 has back seat valves.. They are very handy to isolate a compressor so the oil can be changed on our bus a/c systems.. Login to read more.
