Tom, Mercedes compressors have the magnet machined into the end of the crankshaft, two cuts at 90 degrees, four poles (2 north, 2 south) and then the sensor is offset to pick up the pulses... Mercedes spec was .3 volts ac at 750 RPM.... I simulated the signal ... Login to read more.
