As a rule, 90% of the normal R-12 charge, minus 1/4 lb. is a good R-134a charge.(about 1.75 lb. in this case.) You will need to install a high pressure cut out if the van doesn't have one. it is best to pull as much of the mineral oil out of the system... Login to read more.
